Here's who qualifies, what each of us gets, and how to claim the rewards.
What does each person receive?
New or eligible returning Trainers are reported to receive 100 Poké Balls when referred, plus milestone rewards such as Pokémon encounters, Rare Candy, Incubators and raid-related items.
I earn my own rewards as you finish referral milestones, including possible Pokémon encounters, Rare Candy, Incense, Incubators and other items. Our rewards can differ for the same milestone.
Important: Redeem my referral code within 72 hours of creating your account or first logging back in after your break. We must become friends to claim referral milestones. Rewards aren't automatically deposited: claim them from the relevant friend's profile.

How to redeem the code + important conditions
- Open my referral link and follow any instructions, or copy my referral code.
- Create a new Pokémon GO account, or log back in after at least 90 days away.
- Choose “Have a referral code?” during the sign-in/onboarding flow. If skipped, use Friends → Invite within 72 hours.
- Make sure we are friends in-game. Open the friend's Trainer Profile to track and manually claim completed milestones.
- Child accounts cannot send or redeem referral codes.
- If my Friend List is full, our referral friendship and reward claiming are blocked until space is made.
- The 72-hour redemption window is important; referral links do not automatically add an existing active player as a friend.
